Overview

The Vimar EIKON Series is a flush-mounted double socket outlet that combines two polarized USA+EU 2P+E SICURY receptacles in one 3-module device. It is rated at 16 A and 250 V for 50 to 60 Hz circuits, uses screw terminals on the rear, and measures 44.8 x 49 x 36 mm.

On board, this outlet makes sense in protected interior spaces where different plug standards may show up at the same power point. The body is thermoplastic and halogen free, with enhanced contact protection at the sockets. Its IP20 rating places it in cabins, saloons, and other sheltered areas rather than exposed wet locations.

• VM20249.B: Color White. This version uses a matt untreated surface and works well where the rest of the interior switchgear is light in color.
• VM20249: Color Grey. This version uses a matt untreated surface and gives a darker look that blends into technical panels and modern interior trim.
• VM20249.N: Color Silver. This version uses a matt lacquered surface and suits panels where a silver-toned insert matches nearby hardware and finishes.

Installation and setup

This is a flush-mounted insert with screw terminals, so panel planning matters before ordering. Check that your mounting support, frame, and module layout are correct for a 3-module EIKON device, especially on refit jobs where an older insert is being replaced.

As with any onboard AC outlet, it should be fitted by a qualified installer and matched to the vessel's circuit protection and local electrical requirements. The IP20 construction is intended for protected indoor spaces, not open deck locations or washdown zones.
