Overview

The Vimar Plana Series is a modular wiring range, and this 1-module mounting frame is the screwless support used for a single device position in a flush-mounted installation.

It fits 60 mm fixing centres or 56 x 56 mm flush mounting boxes, accepts one module, and can be installed horizontally or vertically. The insert mounts from the front side, and the frame is made from thermoplastic with a honeycomb structure that adds stiffness without adding much bulk.

For boat interiors, this is the kind of part used when you are building out a neat Plana switch or outlet point and need the frame behind the finished plate to stay aligned and secure. It is most relevant in cabins, heads, galleys, and other interior spaces where flush mounting is already part of the layout.

Variants

This mounting frame is offered in two color configurations within the same 1-module Plana format.

The change across the range is the frame color. Both versions are listed as 1-module frames for 60 mm fixing centres or 56 x 56 mm flush mounting boxes, with the same horizontal or vertical mounting orientation.

• VM14600 - Green. This version uses a transparent body, which helps when checking alignment and wiring position during assembly.
• VM14600.G - Grey. This version keeps the same mounting format with a more subdued visual finish for installations where the support color may be visible during fitting.

Installation and setup

This frame is straightforward to place when the box spacing matches the listed 60 mm centres or the opening is a 56 x 56 mm flush box. The front-side module insertion is helpful when you are working in tighter wall spaces, and the corner slots and central slots make it easier to keep the frame seated correctly before the finishing plate goes on.

Where several device positions are being grouped in the same area, the hooking teeth support series fixing so adjacent modules stay lined up. That matters on refit work where switch banks need to sit straight across a cabin side, furniture panel, or service wall.

Compatibility and fit

This part belongs to the Plana family and is sized for one module only. It is a good match when the rest of the installation is already based around Vimar Plana devices and matching cover plates, and when the box format on board follows the listed flush-mount dimensions.

It is not the right frame for round 60 mm junction boxes, wall duct, subfloor duct box installations, or DIN-rail mounting. Checking the box style and spacing before ordering is the main fit point with this frame.
