Overview

The Vimar Plana Series is a flush-mounted 3-module duplex socket outlet with two 2P+E receptacles rated at 15A, 127V and 50 to 60 Hz for American and Saudi Arabian standard plugs. It uses the SICURY shutter system for enhanced contact protection and screw terminals for wiring.

On a boat, this fits interior AC power distribution in spaces that stay dry and protected, such as cabins, the saloon, or a navigation area. The IP20 rating makes it unsuitable for exposed deck locations, washdown zones, or other areas that can see spray or persistent moisture.

Variants

This outlet is offered in two finish options within the same Plana 3-module format.

The colour and surface treatment change between variants. The electrical rating, mounting method, terminal type, dimensions, and IP20 protection stay the same across both versions.

• VM14243: White finish, RAL 9003, with a glossy untreated surface. This version keeps the installation light in appearance and works where white Plana devices are already used.
• VM14243.SL: Silver finish, RAL 9006, with a glossy lacquered surface. This version changes the look of the installation while keeping the same electrical and mounting format.

Installation and fit

The body measures 67.5 mm wide, 49 mm high, and 35.5 mm deep. As a flush-mounted Plana device, it should be matched with the correct support and cover components for that series, with enough rear clearance for the screw-terminal connections.

This is a 127V AC outlet and not a 12V or 24V DC device. Before fitting it on board, check that the vessel's AC system, outlet standard, and panel layout match the receptacle format and the 3-module footprint.

Use on board

This product suits boats that already use Vimar Plana fittings and need two receptacles in one position without moving to a larger device format. It makes the most sense in accommodation spaces and other interior zones where crew need a fixed 127V outlet and the installation is kept away from direct water exposure.
