Overview

The Vimar Plana Series is a triple 1P 20AX 1-way switch with three independent rockers in a 2-module format. It is rated at 250 V AC, uses screw terminals, supports optional exchangeable LED lighting for control or orientation, and carries an IP40 protection rating for protected interior installations.

This flush-mounted switch is useful when a boat needs three separate switching points in one compact opening, while keeping the panel layout consistent with other Plana devices. It suits interior locations such as cabins, saloons, enclosed helm areas, and other spaces that stay sheltered from direct spray.

The body is thermoplastic and halogen-free, with overall dimensions of 44.8 x 49.0 x 38.4 mm and a built-in depth of 24.0 mm. That makes it easier to place where panel depth is limited and where several onboard functions need to be grouped neatly in one control point.

Variants

This switch is offered in two finish options within the same Plana configuration.

Across both variants, the electrical rating, module format, mounting method, terminals, LED option, IP40 protection, and overall dimensions stay the same. The visible difference is the surface treatment and colour.

• VM14003: White finish with a glossy untreated surface, RAL 9003. This keeps the look close to standard white cabin trims and other light-coloured Plana devices.
• VM14003.SL: Silver finish with a glossy lacquered surface, RAL 9006. This gives a metallic look that sits well with darker panels or brushed interior details.

Installation and fit

This unit is flush-mounted and uses snap engagement, so the main fit checks are compatibility with the Plana modular setup, available box or panel depth, and access for screw-terminal wiring behind the faceplate. The 24 mm built-in depth helps where liner space or console depth is tight.

The IP40 rating points it toward protected interior positions rather than exposed deck areas or places that see regular washdowns. It is a practical match for grouped AC lighting or accessory switching on boats that use Vimar Plana hardware and need three separate controls in one compact location.
