Overview
The Vimar VM10194 is a socket outlet with a polarized 2P layout that accepts plugs with parallel and in-line flat pins as well as ø 4.8 mm pins. It is rated 15 A at 250 V~, which makes it a practical fit on boats where the onboard AC system and guest gear can show up with mixed plug formats.
This is a flush-mounted device in white with surface finishing that is matt and a surface protection that is untreated. The body measures 22 mm wide by 36 mm high, with 32.5 mm depth behind the panel, so you can check clearance in joinery, helm consoles, or cabin bulkheads before committing to the cutout and wiring.
Because it is a 2P outlet (no protective earth), it belongs on circuits and with equipment that do not require an earth connection. Confirm the receptacle style matches both your vessel’s AC distribution and the plugs you plan to use onboard.

Compatibility and fit
This outlet is part of the Vimar LINEA Classica device family. It is best used when your boat already carries that system or you are building out a consistent Vimar installation with matching frames and cover plates in the same range.
For refits, compare the device dimensions to your existing opening, and allow extra room behind the panel for wire bends and terminal access. If the mounting location is near sinks, cockpit doors, or exterior washdowns, plan a protected placement since the outlet face is not covered by a lid.
Electrical and system integration
This outlet is for AC circuits up to 250 V~ and should be installed on a properly protected branch circuit. Keep polarity correct during wiring since the outlet is polarized, and use the correct breaker and wire sizing for a 15 A circuit per your vessel’s electrical standards.
On boats, mixed plug acceptance is helpful at nav stations, salon charging corners, or guest cabins, but it does not convert voltage or plug type beyond physical pin compatibility. If there is any doubt about grounding requirements for the equipment you will connect, confirm the plug and circuit expectations before installation.
Maintenance and care
Periodically inspect the outlet face for heat discoloration, looseness, or corrosion from a humid environment, especially on vessels that see vibration and frequent shore power cycling. Clean with a lightly damp cloth and avoid solvent cleaners that can haze or soften thermoplastic surfaces.
