Overview

This Vimar IP55 cover is a 3-module protective cover for 3 Idea modules or 3 special 8000 modules, and it includes 3 adaptors 08491 to accept 8000 standard modules. With the cover closed, the protection rating is IP55 when it is installed on a wall surface that is waterproof and free of grooves. With the cover open, the rating is IPX2.

It is a plastic cover with full insulating material, made for installations where the switching point needs a sealed front face without changing the module format already used. On board, that makes it useful around locations that can see spray, condensation, or regular washdowns, as long as the installation method matches the rated conditions.

This product is a good match for boats already using Vimar Idea or 8000 devices and needing a 3-module weather-protected cover in the same electrical system.

Variants

This range is offered in two color configurations.

The change between variants is finish color. Module capacity, included 08491 adaptors, and the stated protection ratings stay the same across both listed versions.

• VM13733.Q.A: Color Ivory, RAL 9001. This version suits installations already using ivory trim and switchgear, especially in cabins, saloons, and helm areas where matching existing fittings matters.
• VM13733.Q: Color Grey, RAL 7035. This version suits installations already using grey enclosures and works well in utility spaces, technical areas, and other locations where a neutral finish is preferred.

Installation and fit

To keep the stated IP55 protection, the cover needs to be installed on a wall surface that is waterproof and smooth, without grooves. It is used with the matching 13731.S IP55 3-module flush mounting box or with compatible 3-module flush boxes for hollow waterproof walls.

Before ordering, check the module family already on the boat. This cover is intended for Idea modules, 8000 special modules, or 8000 standard modules when the included 08491 adaptors are used.
