The Vimar Idea 16262 SICURY Australian socket outlet is a flush-mounted 2-module outlet for 15 A / 250 V AC circuits, with an Australian standard AS/NZS 3112 Type I socket format. It is a single 2P+E outlet with screw terminal connections, a 50/60 Hz rating, and a compact body that measures 49.8 mm wide, 50.1 mm high, and 38.7 mm deep.

This version uses the SICURY shutter system for added contact protection and has an IP20 protection level, so it belongs in protected interior spaces rather than exposed deck or wet-area installations. The body is halogen-free thermoplastic with a matt finish, and the front includes a label space for circuit identification where panel layouts need to stay clear and easy to read.

Variants

This outlet is offered in two color configurations within the same 15 A Australian-format Idea insert.

The variation across these versions is the front color. The electrical rating, 2-module format, flush-mount layout, screw terminals, SICURY protection, and IP20 protection level stay the same.

• VM16262.B: Color Ivory. This version has a lighter front that fits well where off-white panels, trims, or matching Idea accessories are already in place.
• VM16262: Color Gray. This version has a darker neutral finish that blends more easily with gray plates and technical interior panels.

Installation and fit

This is a flush-mounted insert with no built-in switch or cover. It suits AC outlet points inside cabins, galleys, passageways, and other enclosed areas where Australian type I receptacles are part of the boat’s onboard electrical layout.

It does not include fault-current protection or surge protection at the outlet itself, so those functions need to be handled elsewhere in the AC system where required. Because the outlet is IP20, it is better kept away from washdowns, spray, and open-weather mounting positions.
