The Garmin BlueChart g3 Vision HD VCA007R is an electronic coastal chart for compatible Garmin chartplotters, covering the coasts of New Brunswick and Quebec from Miramichi Bay to Les Mechins, including Chaleur Bay and the Bay of Gaspe. It also covers the Quebec north shore from Port-Cartier to St.-Augustin (including Sept-Iles and Havre-St.-Pierre), includes Ile d'Anticosti, and extends to the St. George's Bay area of Newfoundland.

For navigation and fishing detail, the cartography includes 1 ft contours, Depth Range Shading for up to 10 depth ranges, and Shallow Water Shading you can set to your own depth. Auto Guidance can calculate a suggested route using your selected depth and overhead clearance, which is useful for trip planning when you are threading unfamiliar stretches of coast.

Vision features add high-resolution satellite imagery with chart overlays plus 3D perspectives (MarinerEye and FishEye) for a clearer picture when working close to shore, entering harbors, or lining up in tight approaches.

Variants

This chart is offered in two formats so you can match how you prefer to load charts for your helm display.

Both options carry the same VCA007R coverage and Vision feature set; the difference is whether you receive a physical card or install the chart to a microSD/SD card from a computer.

• 010-C0693-00: Format microSD/SD. Insert the card into the chartplotter's chart slot and the chart is available on the unit.
• 010-D0387-00: Format Download. Install the chart to a microSD/SD card using Garmin Express, then move that card to the chartplotter for use underway.

Compatibility and setup

This chart requires a Garmin chartplotter that supports BlueChart g3 Vision cartography. For the card format, the chart is ready once the microSD/SD card is inserted into the unit's chart card slot.

For the download format, Garmin Express is used on a computer to install the chart to a microSD/SD card for use in a registered chartplotter. Plan on dedicating one card per chart region, since only one chart can be installed to a single microSD/SD card.

Some functions such as Auto Guidance, satellite imagery overlays, and 3D views depend on the chartplotter model and software, so confirm feature support for your specific display if those tools matter to your workflow.
