Overview
The Simrad 000-13753-001 is a dash mount kit for fitting an NSS7 evo3 or B&G Zeus3-7 display into a helm panel with a flush finish in the dash. The 7-inch chassis uses a panel cutout of 239 x 154 mm (9.41 x 6.05 in), so it is a practical match for new console work and refits where you want the display sitting cleanly in the dash.
Flush mounting keeps the screen close to the console and avoids bracket hardware sticking out where it can get bumped by knees, rods, or companionway traffic. Plan room behind the panel for the power, network, and sonar connectors, and route cables so they are not under constant bend or strain.
During installation, the display uses a self-adhesive foam gasket on the back of the unit to seat against the dash and help reduce vibration. Tighten the mounting points evenly so the bezel sits flat without twisting the display frame.
Key features
- Made for the 7-inch NSS7 evo3 and Zeus3-7 chassis and its in-dash mounting pattern
- Supports a flush helm install that keeps the display face tight to the console
- Panel cutout reference for the 7-inch chassis outline: 239 x 154 mm (9.41 x 6.05 in)
- Useful for new builds and refits where you want to move from a bracket mount to an in-dash mount
- Works with the display's foam gasket to keep the unit seated evenly against the dash and cut down on buzz in a vibrating console
Compatibility and fit
This dash mount kit matches the NSS7 evo3 and Zeus3-7 7-inch display footprint. Other screen sizes in the NSS evo3 and Zeus3 range use different dash mount kits, so confirm the display size before cutting the dash.
Installation and setup
Measure twice, then cut: lay out the opening, dry fit the display, and check that the dash thickness and reinforcement allow the unit to clamp down evenly. If the console core is exposed after cutting, sealing the raw edge helps prevent moisture from wicking into plywood or cored panels.
Leave enough slack for service loops and add chafe protection anywhere wiring passes through fiberglass or metal. A small drip loop on cables below the display helps keep water from tracking straight into the back of the unit.
Use cases on board
This setup is a good match for center consoles, pilothouses, and sailboat pedestals where you want a helm that stays clear and a display that stays put in chop. It also helps when the mounting surface is tight and you want to keep walkways and handholds unobstructed.
