Overview
The Lumitec 101694 is an all-round LED anchor light with a 24 in white shaft and a white base for mounting on a hardtop, radar arch, or cabin roof. It runs on 10-30 VDC and draws 80 mA at 12V or 45 mA at 24V (0.9W), so it fits typical 12V and 24V DC systems without adding much load. Output is a 360 degree white anchor light with a USCG 2 nautical mile rating.
The base retracts and locks so the light can be stowed when you are underway or trailering. The housing uses composite construction to keep weight down, and the assembly is sealed to an IP67 rating for rain, spray, and washdowns.
Key features
- 24 in overall height with 360 degree all-round white anchor output
- USCG rated 2 nautical miles for anchor light visibility
- 10-30 VDC input for 12V and 24V DC systems
- Low current draw: 80 mA at 12V, 45 mA at 24V (0.9W)
- IP67-rated sealing for wet weather and washdowns
- Base retracts and locks, so the pole can be stowed when not in use
- 2-wire hookup for a standard anchor-light switch circuit
- 2.5 in diameter profile
- CE certified and conforms to ABYC A16
- Operating temperature range: -31F to 131F (-35C to 55C)
Installation and setup
Mount the base on a flat surface where the light can extend and retract without hitting antennas, rails, outriggers, or canvas. On an arch or hardtop, place it where the lens has a clear 360 degree view and stays above gear that could block it at anchor.
Bed fasteners and the wire exit with marine sealant, then route the two conductors to a dry chase below deck. Use tinned marine wire and sealed connectors, and leave a small service loop so the base can be removed later without cutting the harness.
Electrical and system integration
This light is a straightforward 2-wire load on 10-30 VDC. Tie it into an existing anchor light switch or a dedicated breaker, and protect the circuit with a fuse or breaker sized for the run and the small current draw. Keep connections above the waterline and away from heat sources where possible.
Compliance and visibility
When used as an anchor light, the lens needs a clear 360 degree view. Avoid mounting next to vertical antennas, rocket launchers, or raised rails that can shadow the light in certain directions.
Use on board
It suits boats that anchor overnight and want an anchor light that stows down to reduce snags when lines and covers come out. The 24 in height is a practical middle ground when you need the light lifted above deck clutter without committing to a full-length pole.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt residue off the base and lens during routine washdowns, and occasionally check that the lock mechanism moves freely. Inspect the wiring pass-through and connectors each season for chafe and corrosion, especially if the light lives on an exposed arch.
