Overview
The Raymarine Quantum Data Cable with RayNet Connector is a wired data cable range for connecting a Raymarine Quantum radar to a Raymarine display or network switch through the RayNet interface. It is available in 5 m, 10 m, 15 m, and 25 m lengths, giving installers room to match the cable run to the radar position without leaving excess cable coiled behind the helm.
This cable is for the data side of a Quantum radar installation. The radar still uses its separate power connection, while this cable handles the wired network link when a physical Ethernet-style connection is preferred over Wi-Fi.
Key features
- Made for Raymarine Quantum radar installations that use a RayNet wired data connection.
- Available in four cable lengths: 5 m, 10 m, 15 m, and 25 m.
- Useful for routing from a hardtop, arch, mast, or radar mount back to a multifunction display or Raymarine network switch.
- Helps keep the radar data connection hardwired where Wi-Fi is not the preferred installation method.
- RayNet connector format matches Raymarine network hardware without using a generic adapter cable.
Variants
This product is offered in multiple cable lengths so the same Quantum radar data connection can be matched to different vessel layouts.
The cable length changes between variants. The Raymarine Quantum radar application and RayNet connector format remain consistent across the range.
- A80274: 5 m cable length. This length suits shorter runs where the radar and display or network switch are located close together, such as on a small hardtop or compact helm layout.
- A80275: 10 m cable length. This length gives more routing space for many center console, cruiser, and pilothouse installations.
- A80310: 15 m cable length. This length fits installations where the cable must pass through a radar arch, cabin top, or longer internal route before reaching the electronics network.
- A80311: 25 m cable length. This length supports longer onboard cable paths, including taller mounting positions or runs that need to pass through multiple compartments.
Installation and setup
Plan the route before pulling the cable, especially around radar arches, deck glands, headliners, and electronics lockers. Leave enough service loop at the radar and at the display or switch end for future maintenance, but avoid tight coils or sharp bends where the cable passes through confined spaces.
For exposed deck or hardtop runs, use proper cable glands and strain relief so movement, washdowns, and vibration do not load the connector. Keep the data cable separated from high-current wiring where practical, especially near battery cables, windlass wiring, and inverter feeds.
Compatibility and fit
This cable is intended for Raymarine Quantum radar systems using RayNet wired networking. It is a practical match for boat owners or installers who want a clean hardwired data path between the radar scanner and the Raymarine display network.
Before ordering, measure the full cable path rather than the straight-line distance. Include vertical drops, turns through lockers, service loops, and any route needed to avoid heat, moving parts, or areas where the cable could be pinched.
