Overview
The Raymarine Quantum/Cyclone Data Cable is a radar data cable family for compatible Raymarine Quantum and Cyclone radar installations, offered in 5 m, 10 m, 15 m, and 25 m lengths. It is used where the radar data run needs to be matched to the boat’s layout, whether the scanner is mounted on a hardtop, arch, mast, tower, or radar pedestal.
This cable helps complete the data connection between the radar and the vessel’s Raymarine electronics without forcing excess cable into tight spaces or leaving the run too short for a clean installation. The length range covers compact helm-to-hardtop layouts as well as longer routing paths through cabins, conduits, deck structures, and equipment spaces.
Key features
- Compatible with Raymarine Quantum and Cyclone radar data cable applications.
- Available in four lengths: 5 m, 10 m, 15 m, and 25 m.
- Useful for clean radar cable routing on boats with different scanner mounting locations.
- Helps avoid unnecessary cable slack when the radar is close to the helm or network area.
- Longer options support installations where the cable must pass through arches, masts, cabins, or equipment compartments.
Variants
This product is offered in multiple cable lengths so the installer can match the data run to the vessel’s actual routing path.
The length is the varying attribute across the range. The application remains the same across the listed options: Raymarine Quantum/Cyclone radar data cabling.
- A80656: 5 m length. This length suits short radar data runs, such as hardtop or arch installations where the equipment area is close to the scanner.
- A80657: 10 m length. This option gives more routing allowance for many small to mid-size boats without moving into a long-cable installation.
- A80658: 15 m length. This length is useful where the cable must pass through a cabin, console, conduit, or elevated radar mount before reaching the electronics area.
- A80659: 25 m length. This option supports longer runs on larger vessels or installations where the radar position is well separated from the display or network location.
Installation and fit
Before ordering, measure the full cable path rather than the straight-line distance from the radar to the helm. Allow for bends, service loops, deck penetrations, conduit paths, and any routing needed to keep the cable clear of moving hardware, sharp edges, high-heat areas, and service access panels.
The best length is usually the shortest option that still allows a tidy run with enough slack for strain relief and future service. Excess cable should be managed carefully so it does not create tight coils, pinch points, or unnecessary clutter behind the helm or inside equipment lockers.
Use cases on board
This cable is a good match for boat owners, riggers, and marine electronics installers adding or servicing a Raymarine Quantum or Cyclone radar system. It is especially relevant when the radar scanner location has already been chosen and the remaining decision is the correct cable length for a clean, serviceable data run.
