Overview
The Attwood Marine LightArmor LED Bi-Color Pole Light with Task Light is a stowaway bow navigation light that combines red and green LED sidelights with an integrated white task light for foredeck work. It is built for boats that need a removable pole light at the bow, with straight 10 in and 14 in pole options available in this variant group.
The LED light engine is rated for 50,000+ hours and remains cool to the touch during use. The navigation light carries an IP67 water-resistance rating and meets EN/ISO 19009:2015, with red and green sectors for port and starboard visibility up to 2 nautical miles.
The added task light is useful when working around the bow after dark, such as handling dock lines, checking ground tackle, or moving around the foredeck without relying only on a handheld light. A locking collar helps keep the pole secure when used with a compatible LightArmor plug-in base.
Key features
- Bi-color LED navigation light with red and green output for bow-mounted port and starboard indication.
- Integrated white task light helps illuminate the foredeck for line handling, anchoring, and dockside work.
- IP67 water-resistance rating for exposure to spray, rain, and washdowns on deck.
- LED light engine rated for 50,000+ hours, reducing bulb changes compared with older incandescent pole lights.
- 2 nautical mile visibility rating for use on boats up to 20 m where a bi-color bow light is appropriate.
- Color-indicated wiring cores support cleaner installation and help reduce wiring mistakes.
- Locking collar works with compatible LightArmor plug-in bases to help limit movement while underway or trailering.
- Straight pole format suits bow locations where the light needs to sit upright and clear deck hardware.
Variants
This product is offered in multiple configurations that keep the same LightArmor bi-color LED pole light format with an integrated task light.
The differences in this group are the catalog type and the straight pole length. The available pole lengths are 10 in and 14 in, which helps match the light height to the bow layout, rail position, and existing base location.
- NV6LC2-10-1: OEM Part Number catalog type with a 10 in straight pole. This version fits applications where an OEM-listed 10 in straight LightArmor pole light is needed.
- NV6LC2-10-7: Part Number catalog type with a 10 in straight pole. This version gives the same 10 in straight pole format for standard replacement or retail catalog matching.
- NV6LC2-14-1: OEM Part Number catalog type with a 14 in straight pole. The taller 14 in pole helps raise the light above more bow hardware when that height is required.
- NV6LC2-14-7: Part Number catalog type with a 14 in straight pole. This version provides the 14 in straight pole configuration for standard replacement or retail catalog matching.
Installation and fit
This is a plug-in pole light, so base compatibility matters before ordering. The locking collar feature is intended for LightArmor plug-in bases, and the task-light function requires the vessel wiring and base arrangement to support the additional light circuit.
For replacement work, match the pole length, straight style, base type, and wiring setup already on the boat. On new installations, place the light where the red and green sectors are not blocked by rails, trolling motors, anchor gear, or canvas.
Use cases on board
This light is a practical match for fishing boats, center consoles, runabouts, and other small to mid-size boats that need a removable bow navigation light plus a focused work light at the foredeck. The task light adds useful visibility during early departures, late returns, anchoring, and dockside handling without changing the navigation light’s main role.
Maintenance and care
Rinse the pole, lens area, and base after saltwater use, and let the connection dry before storage when possible. Keep the plug contacts clean and check the locking collar during seasonal maintenance so the light seats firmly each time it is installed.
