Overview

The Lumitec Ibiza is an LED engine room and utility light that runs on 10-30V DC and puts out 1,000 lumens in white mode from a 16W fixture. It is a solid choice for machinery spaces, lazarettes, and other service areas where you need light that spreads across the whole bay for inspections and maintenance.

The housing is sealed to an IP67 rating for wet, salty environments, and the optical pattern throws a broad 180 degree beam to help cut down on dark corners. White output is 5000K with a CRI of 70+.

Variants

Ibiza is offered with black or white housings, and with different light color outputs.

Configurations include steady white (non-dimming) and dual-color dimming versions that switch between white and red, or white and blue. On the dual-color dimming models, brightness and color changes are handled through brief off/on power toggles at the switch.

Installation and setup

The light mounts to a flat surface with two fasteners and routes power through a wire exit hole behind the fixture. Plan the mounting location so wiring is supported and protected from chafe and heat, and protect the circuit with an appropriately sized fuse following ABYC practices.

The housing can feel warm during normal use. Avoid installing it in a confined pocket that restricts airflow, and allow access so the fixture can cool if thermal protection reduces output.

Electrical and control

Power is straightforward 2-wire DC. Non-dimming white versions operate as standard on/off lighting on a switched circuit.

Dual-color dimming versions ramp up in intensity for about three seconds at startup. A brief off/on toggle during the ramp sets a lower brightness level, and a later quick toggle changes between the two colors. These dimming versions are compatible with most PWM LED dimmers.

Use on board

This light fits well in engine rooms, generator compartments, bilge access areas, and large lockers where you want coverage across the space rather than a tight hotspot. Dual-color outputs are useful when you want white for detailed work and a secondary color for lower-glare lighting at night.

It is a good match for boats that see vibration and moisture around the machinery space, and for owners who want strong utility lighting without adding extra control wiring.

Maintenance and care

Rinse away salt residue when needed and wipe the lens and housing with a soft cloth. Periodically check fasteners and wire support, especially in high-vibration areas.
