Overview
The Lumitec CapriLT is a flush-mount LED flood light built for deck and spreader use on 12V or 24V DC systems (10-30 VDC). It puts out 1000 lumens of cool white light (5000K) and carries an IP67 rating for wet installations and washdowns.
This is a low-profile, rectangular fixture that sits clean in a hardtop, cockpit coaming, or overhead panel. The face measures 4.94 in by 1.75 in, with a 3.87 in by 1.25 in cutout, so it is a good fit when you want a finished look without a bulky housing on the surface.
It draws 1.3A at 12V (about 600mA at 24V). The housing is powder-coated die-cast aluminum, and the light includes over-temperature protection for real-world heat in enclosed spaces.
Key features
- Flush-mount footprint: 4.94 in x 1.75 in face with a 3.87 in x 1.25 in cutout
- 10-30 VDC input for both 12V and 24V DC electrical systems
- 1000-lumen cool white output (5000K) for working light on deck, cockpit, or under a hardtop
- IP67-rated sealing for rain, spray, and routine washdowns
- Powder-coated die-cast aluminum housing for long-term use in salt and sun
- Compatible with most PWM LED dimmers for brightness control from a standard dimmer circuit
- Not Poco System compatible
Variants
This light is offered in multiple finish options while keeping the same light output and electrical ratings.
The only difference between variants is the housing finish, which changes how the fixture blends into the mounting surface.
- 101289: Finish Black. A darker bezel that blends well with black powder-coated tops, dark canvas, or tinted enclosures.
- 101288: Finish White. A lighter bezel that matches white gelcoat, headliners, and bright hardtop interiors.
Installation and setup
Plan the cutout and confirm you have room behind the mounting surface before drilling. Allow up to about 1.57 in of depth for the fixture body and wiring, and keep at least 1 in of clearance around the back of the light so heat can dissipate.
Protect the circuit with an appropriately sized fuse and size the fuse for the number of lights on that run. Typical mounting uses two #6 self-tapping screws after the cutout is made and the pilot holes are drilled.
Electrical and system integration
Wire the light to a DC lighting circuit within the 10-30 VDC range. Current draw is 1.3A at 12V and about 600mA at 24V, which helps when you are planning breaker and wire sizing for multiple fixtures.
If the circuit uses a PWM LED dimmer, the light can be dimmed from that control. If your boat uses a digital lighting system, note that this model is not Poco System compatible.
Compatibility and fit
This form factor works well where you want a clean flush install and a wide flood pattern for deck tasks. It is a practical match for boats that need a fixed cool white work light on a hardtop, in the cockpit, or as a spreader light without adding a surface-mount fixture that can snag lines or canvas.
Maintenance and care
Rinse the face after saltwater runs and wipe the lens with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh solvents that can haze the lens or damage the finish.
