Overview
The Lumitec Perimeter Light is a low-profile LED flood/spreader light for lighting decks, spreaders, and perimeter areas on board. It runs on 10-30 VDC for 12V and 24V systems, draws 16W (about 1.3A at 12V), and puts out 1,000 lumens with a beam that spreads light wide across a work area.
The housing is sealed to an IP67 rating and uses an aluminum body with an impact-resistant plastic window. Overall size is about 6.36 in wide x 1.73 in high x 1.48 in deep, which helps when you are fitting lights under a hardtop, on a cabin side, or in tight service spaces. White output is 5000K with CRI 70+ for clear working light.

- 1,000 lumen output with a wide beam that spreads light evenly
- IP67 sealed housing for spray and washdowns
- Aluminum housing with an impact-resistant plastic window
- Low profile surface-mount footprint: about 6.36 in W x 1.73 in H x 1.48 in D

Variants
This light is offered with different light colors and housing finishes so you can match the way you use the area and the look of the boat.
Light color options include White, White/Blue, White/Red, and White/Amber. Finish options include White, Black, and Chrome. Control and wiring depends on the light color: White models are simple on/off, two-color dimming versions use timed on/off toggles to set intensity and change colors on a standard switch, and versions that include an amber flashing output use a 3-wire hookup with separate control of the white channel and the flashing circuit.
Installation and wiring
This is a surface-mount light. Plan a clean wire path behind the mounting surface, drill a 1/4 in wire exit hole, and pre-drill for #6 mounting screws. Bed the fixture with marine sealant where it meets the mounting surface to keep water from tracking into the core or behind panels.
Feed the light from a switched and fused DC supply and size the fuse for the circuit load, especially when multiple lights share one run. Two-wire dimming models ramp up on startup and use brief off/on toggles to set a dimmed level and change colors. Flashing-output models use separate conductors for the white channel and the flashing channel, typically wired to a 3-way on/off/on switch or two separate on/off switches.
Compatibility and fit
The wide beam pattern is helpful when the light is mounted about 3 to 4 feet above the surface you want to illuminate, such as along cabin sides, under hardtops, on arches, or inside machinery and storage areas where overhead mounting space is limited. It is intended for above-water use in wet, exposed areas where sealing and vibration resistance matter.
Use cases on board
Common installs include cockpit and side-deck work lighting, spreader lighting on a sailboat, transom and boarding-area illumination, and overhead service lighting in compartments. This product is a good match when you want a wide, even wash of light close to the mounting surface and you need a fixture that can handle spray and regular washdowns.
