Overview
The Garmin 010-11076-00CASE is a case of ten NMEA 2000 backbone/drop cables, each 2 m (6 ft) long, used to extend a NMEA 2000 backbone or run a drop from a T-connector to a device.
These cables use the NMEA 2000 micro connector format (Micro-C) found on many Garmin and third-party NMEA 2000 devices, so they fit naturally into a mixed-brand network built around standard micro connections.
The case quantity makes sense when you are adding several instruments or sensors at once and want consistent cable lengths across the install.
Key features
- Case pack of 10 cables for multi-device network builds or service stock
- 2 m (6 ft) length per cable for short backbone extensions and typical drop runs
- Backbone/drop cable use for connecting between network components or from a T-connector to equipment
- NMEA 2000 micro (Micro-C) connector format with 22 AWG micro cabling
- Works with NMEA 2000 networks that use standard micro connectors; other connector families require an adapter at the transition point
What's included
- 10 x NMEA 2000 backbone/drop cable, 2 m (6 ft)
Installation and setup
Use one cable inline to bridge two NMEA 2000 components when you need to stretch the backbone to the next T-connector. For a device connection, run it as the drop between the T-connector and the product's NMEA 2000 port.
Route the cable so it will not chafe, support it so vibration is not carried by the connectors, and leave gentle service loops where you may need to disconnect gear for maintenance. A properly built NMEA 2000 backbone still needs correct power injection and terminators at the ends.
Compatibility and fit
This cable is intended for NMEA 2000 networks that use the standard micro (Micro-C) connector system. If your boat uses a different connector style, plan on the correct adapter rather than forcing connections.
Good fit on board
This is a good match for installers adding multiple NMEA 2000 devices such as instrument displays, sensors, autopilot components, or VHF and AIS equipment, where several short runs are needed at the helm, nav station, or engine space.
