Overview
The Garmin 010-13071-00 is a trolling-motor transducer mount for Garmin GT36 and GT56 scanning transducers. It straps to the trolling motor housing with hose clamps and keeps the transducer tucked in close, which helps reduce the chance of snagging when you are working around weeds, timber, docks, or a rocky bottom.
The mount fastens to the transducer using M4 hardware and gives you multiple cable-exit routes so the cable can be routed to the top side of the trolling motor housing when the motor is stowed. It is a good match for boats that rely on bow-mounted scanning sonar while fishing, especially when the trolling motor gets deployed and stowed often and clean cable routing matters.
Key features
- Mounting solution for Garmin GT36 and GT56 scanning transducers on a trolling motor
- Clamp-on attachment to the trolling motor using hose clamps through integrated slots
- Low-profile shape that keeps the transducer close to the motor housing for better protection from underwater obstructions
- Multiple cable-exit paths to help route the transducer cable to a non-pinch point when the motor is stowed
- Supports a parallel-to-bottom transducer orientation when the trolling motor is deployed
Compatibility and fit
This mount is intended for GT36 and GT56 scanning transducers that use the matching trolling-motor mount interface. It is not a universal transducer bracket, so confirm your transducer model before ordering.
This is a mechanical mounting accessory. Sonar and connector compatibility is determined by the transducer version you are installing and the Garmin electronics it will plug into, not by the mount itself.
Installation and setup
Attach the mount to the transducer using M4 screws and star washers, then select a cable exit that keeps the cable on the top side of the trolling motor housing when the motor is stowed. The mount is built with multiple exit routes so you can choose the cleanest path for your specific trolling motor.
Feed hose clamps through the mount slots, position the transducer so the narrow end points away from the propeller, and tighten the clamps evenly. Secure the cable along the trolling motor shaft so it cannot get pinched during deploy and stow, and route it away from other wiring where possible to help avoid electrical interference.
Use and care on board
After the first trip, recheck clamp tension and cable routing since the mount can settle slightly once it has seen vibration and real water loads. In saltwater, a quick rinse and a periodic look at clamp condition and cable chafe points will help keep the install trouble-free.
