Overview
This Simrad fishfinder/GPS chartplotter combo combines a multi-touch display with charting, sonar support, and optional radar integration depending on the configuration.
Across the range you will find 7 inch and 9 inch screen options, with bundles that pair the display with different transducers and, in some cases, a HALO series radar. It also supports NMEA 2000 networking so you can share data with compatible onboard electronics.
It is a practical match for small to mid-size center consoles, bay boats, and cruising sailboats that want one screen for navigation and finding fish, with room to expand into networking or radar as your setup grows.
Key features
- Offered with 7 inch or 9 inch multi-touch screen options, depending on the bundle.
- Chartplotter with integrated GPS and support for C-MAP chart options, including Discover.
- NMEA 2000 networking support for sharing data with compatible sensors and displays.
- Bundle transducer options include Active Imaging 3-in-1, 83/200 HDI, Med/High HDI, or a no-transducer configuration.
- Bundle radar options range from no radar to HALO20 or HALO20+ dome radar, depending on the part number.
- Wireless connectivity for device mirroring on compatible devices.
- Adjustable split-screen layouts for chart and sonar views.
Variants
This product is offered in multiple configurations. The main differences across the range are screen size (7 inch or 9 inch), the bundled transducer type (or no transducer), and whether the package includes a HALO dome radar or no radar.
Use the variant details to match your existing gear and installation plan. A no-transducer configuration is useful when you already have a working transducer and want to keep it, while the bundled transducer options change what sonar views you can access based on the transducer you install.
Installation and setup
Plan the mounting location so you can see the display from the helm and still protect it from constant spray. Leave enough clearance behind the panel for cable connections and for routing into a dry, supported wire run.
If your chosen configuration includes a transducer, take time on placement and cable routing. Transom-mounted installs work best when the transducer sits in clean water at speed and the cable is secured away from sharp edges, moving parts, and high-heat areas.
Electrical and network integration
NMEA 2000 support lets the display share data with compatible equipment such as engines, fuel sensors, heading sensors, AIS, and other displays on the network. Keep backbone power, termination, and drop lengths within normal marine network practices for stable performance.
If your bundle includes radar, mount the dome where it has an unobstructed view and a solid base that can handle vibration. Radar installs typically require dedicated power and careful routing to keep cables protected and dry.
Use cases on board
On a fishing boat, this setup gives you charting and sonar on one screen, with split views that help you run to spots while watching bottom detail. On a cruiser, radar-capable bundles add another layer of situational awareness for low visibility, night approaches, and busy waterways.
