Overview

The Lumishore 010-04533-00 is an EOS TIX1604 interchangeable thru-hull underwater LED light built for 24 V DC boats, with a supply range of 20 to 31 V DC. It supports full color change (RGBW), puts out 17,500 verified fixture lumens in white, and spreads light with a 110° beam angle.

This is a through-hull style fixture that can be mounted on the transom, hull sides, or bottom. The housing carries an IP68 water-ingress rating for long-term submersion, and the body uses marine grade aluminum bronze with a borosilicate glass lens for a setup that holds up around saltwater and growth when it is installed and bonded correctly.

Fit details matter on underwater lights. The face is 140 mm (5.51 in) in diameter, the shaft requires a 92 mm (3-5/8 in) cut-out, and the standard light cable length is 3 m (9.8 ft).

Installation and setup

Plan the mounting location with inside access in mind. A 92 mm (3-5/8 in) hole is required for the shaft, and the shaft length is 184 mm (7.24 in). The housing profile is low at 11 mm (0.43 in), but the inside clearance and cable routing still need to be checked before you cut.

Underwater through-hull lights rely on correct bedding, torque, and sealing. This unit includes a bonding connection and bonding is required. For metal-hull installations, isolation sleeves are available to help separate dissimilar materials and manage corrosion risk.

Electrical and control integration

Power it from a 24 V DC circuit within the 20 to 31 V DC supply range, and size the circuit protection for the expected load. Peak draw is listed at 6.5 A on 24 V DC, so the wiring run and breaker or fuse choice should match your boat’s voltage drop and protection standards.

Control and lighting effects are handled through the Lumi-DMX protocol (DMX 512 and RDMX compatible). The system supports MFD integration when used with an EOS-LUX Command Center, with options for dedicated display control and Wi-Fi control depending on the rest of the lighting network on board.

Use cases on board

This light is a good match for boats that already run a 24 V house system and want color control rather than a fixed-color underwater light. On cruising boats and sportfishers, it is commonly used to throw a wide wash off the transom at the dock or at anchor, and to add underwater visibility for swim platform time after dark.

Maintenance and care

Expect marine growth in most waters and plan for periodic cleaning of the lens. Use a cleaner that is safe for glass and avoid aggressive abrasives. During haul-out, inspect the seal, check the bonding connection, and confirm the cable and strain relief are still secure after a season of vibration and washdowns.
