Overview
The JL Audio 010-13875-00 is a swivel pipe-mount bracket set for VeX enclosed speaker systems, built around a 2.750 in inside-diameter clamp.
It is sold as a pair of mounting fixtures and one set is intended to mount two VeX pods, letting you hang the speakers from a wake tower, T-top frame, roll bar, or other 2.75 in tubing where deck space is tight.
Key features
- Swivel pipe-mount bracket set for VeX enclosed speaker pods, including PS650-VeX applications
- 2.750 in clamp inside diameter for round 2.75 in tower and hardtop tubing
- Mounting fixtures that are machined with a low-profile shape for cleaner fit on crowded rails
- JL Audio name logo machined on the side for quick visual identification
- Sold in pairs; each fixture set is intended to support two VeX pods
Compatibility and fit
This mount is size-specific. Measure the outside diameter of the tube you plan to clamp to and confirm it is 2.750 in. If your tubing is slightly oversized, has a heavy powder coat, or is not perfectly round, check fit before committing to a permanent speaker location.
Installation and setup
The clamp wraps around the tube, so the mount can be installed without drilling into the tower or frame. Set the swivel angle so the pods aim where you actually listen, then tighten everything down and re-check after the first ride, since towers and tops see a lot of vibration.
Plan your wiring route at the same time. Leave a drip loop, keep cables off sharp edges, and secure them so they cannot flap in the wind or chafe on fittings.
Use on board
This style of mount is a good match for boats that already have 2.75 in tubing and run VeX pods on a wakeboard tower, hardtop, or overhead frame. It keeps the speakers up and out of the way and gives you control over where the sound is aimed, whether that is the cockpit, the bow lounge, or the swim platform.
Maintenance and care
Rinse the mount with fresh water after salt use and inspect the clamp hardware periodically. If your tower is anodized or powder-coated, a thin protective layer under the clamp can help prevent scuffs, and a quick snug-up check now and then helps avoid movement over time.
