The Garmin 010-12832-40 is a 60A circuit breaker for the trolling motor power circuit when installing a Force or Force Kraken trolling motor. It sits in-line on the main feed so an overload or short can trip the circuit before heat builds in the cable run or at the connections.
On a boat, this is the kind of protection that belongs close to the trolling motor battery bank, where it can protect the full length of the power leads running up to the motor. If the circuit ever trips, it also gives you a clear starting point for troubleshooting the wiring, connectors, and battery setup before putting the motor back under load.

Installation and setup
Install the breaker in-line on the positive feed for the trolling motor power circuit, as close to the trolling motor battery bank as practical. Use cable that is sized for the motor’s current draw, support the run so it cannot chafe with vibration, and keep it clear of sharp edges, hinges, and the trolling motor mount’s moving parts.
After installation, put the motor under load at the dock and feel the breaker and cable lugs for unusual warmth. Heat at the terminals is usually a connection or cable-sizing issue, not a normal operating condition.
