Variants

This outlet is offered in two color configurations within the same 2-module IDEA format.

Across both versions, the electrical format remains the same: British Standard 2P+E, 16 A, 250 V, flush-mounted, with enhanced contact protection and IP20 protection. The visible difference between these variants is the front color.

• VM16258.B: Color Ivory. This is the lighter finish in the range and works well where the surrounding trim or panelwork is off-white or cream.
• VM16258: Color Gray. This darker finish blends more easily with gray trim and tends to show handling marks less on busy interior panels.

Compatibility and fit

This is a 250 V AC socket outlet for British Standard plugs. It is not a USB charger, it does not include an on off switch, and it is not intended for 12 V or 24 V DC circuits. Check that your boat uses the Vimar IDEA modular system and has space for a 2-module flush-mounted device in a dry location.

Installation and use

IP20 protection makes this outlet suitable for interior spaces only, not exposed decks, cockpit coamings, wet lockers, or other areas that see spray or washdowns.
