Overview
The Garmin BlueChart g3 Vision HD VUS513L is an electronic chart for compatible Garmin chartplotters covering Jacksonville to the Bahamas, with detailed coastal and inland data around Florida and nearby island chains. It includes up to 1-foot contours, depth range shading for up to 10 depth bands, shallow water shading, and high resolution relief shading and satellite imagery layers where available on your plotter.
This region spans the Florida Peninsula from St. Mary's, GA through the Port of Miami to Fort Myers on the Gulf, and it also covers the Florida Keys, the Bahamas, and the Turks and Caicos Islands. Offshore bathymetry is included for major features such as the Blake Escarpment and the Great Bahama Bank.
Key features
- VUS513L coverage from St. Mary's, GA to Fort Myers, FL, including the Port of Miami and the Florida Keys.
- Inland detail for the St. Johns River and connected waters, including Crescent Lake, Lake George, Lake Monroe, Lake Jesup, Lake Harney, and Lake Okeechobee.
- Additional waterways charted, including the St. Lucie Canal and the Caloosahatchee River.
- Bahamas and Turks and Caicos coverage, plus offshore bathymetry across features such as the Blake Canyon to Santaren Channel corridor, the Blake Escarpment, and the Great Bahama Bank.
- Integrated Garmin and Navionics chart content, with an emphasis on navigation and fishing-relevant bottom detail.
- Auto Guidance route suggestions based on user-set depth and overhead clearance (a planning tool, not a substitute for piloting).
- Depth range shading for up to 10 depth ranges, plus shallow water shading to mark depths you want to avoid.
- Up to 1-foot contours to help read bottom shape in marinas, canals, flats, and nearshore structure.
- MarinerEye and FishEye 3D views for perspective above and below the waterline, with satellite imagery to add context around ports, marinas, bridges, and landmarks (feature support varies by chartplotter model).
Variants
VUS513L is offered in two formats depending on how you prefer to load charts to your plotter.
Both options cover the same region. The difference is whether you receive a pre-programmed card or install the chart to a card using Garmin Express, with the download format unlocked to a specific registered chartplotter.
- 010-C0742-00: Format microSD/SD. A pre-programmed card you insert into the chartplotter to use the charts on board.
- 010-D0501-00: Format Download. Installed to a microSD/SD card using Garmin Express and unlocked to the chartplotter it is registered to.
Chart coverage
Along the Florida Peninsula, this chart set runs from St. Mary's, Georgia through the Port of Miami to Fort Myers on the Gulf Coast. It includes detailed coverage for the St. Johns River and connected lakes, plus inland waterways such as the St. Lucie Canal and the Caloosahatchee River.
Outside Florida, coverage extends through the Florida Keys into the Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos Islands. Offshore, bathymetric data is included for major structures and banks such as the Blake Escarpment and the Great Bahama Bank.
Compatibility and setup
This cartography is intended for compatible Garmin chartplotters that support BlueChart g3 Vision charts and accept a microSD or SD card. If your system is networked, the chart can be shared across the Garmin marine network from the chartplotter that has the mapping card inserted.
For the download format, plan on dedicating one microSD/SD card to this chart region since only one chart set can be installed per card. Install the chart to the card on a computer using Garmin Express, then move the card to the chartplotter for use on the boat.
Use on board
This chart is a practical fit for coastal cruising, fishing runs, and Bahamas crossings where you want clear depth cues and quick visual context for cuts, reefs, and harbor approaches. Auto Guidance can help sketch a route, but you still need to confirm real-world conditions and navigate conservatively in shifting shoals, busy inlets, and poorly marked areas.
