Overview
The Lopolight 300-114G2ST-PRO-I is a 3 nm, 360° red double navigation and signal light with a built-in de-icing function for larger commercial vessels. It runs on 20-32 VDC (24 V systems), is sealed to IP68, and draws about 2.9 W.
The housing measures Ø92.5 mm x 112 mm and uses a hard coat anodized aluminum body with a PMMA lens. It is approved to COLREG72 and EN14744, and it is also listed for IEC 60945 and IACS E10.
This is a good match for operators who need an all-round red light that stays visible in spray and cold weather, including vessels that see winter service where icing can block a lens.
Key features
- 3 nm visibility with a full 360° red sector in a double-light configuration
- Built-in de-icing and a stated operating range of -60°C to 55°C
- 20-32 VDC input for 24 V systems; power draw listed as 2.9 W (about 120 mA at 24 VDC)
- IP68-rated assembly with plug-connector connection for service-friendly removal
- Horizontal mounting on a 400-037 POM base, with side cable exit and an HDPE base plate
- Hard coat anodized aluminum (50 micron) housing with PMMA lens and A4 stainless steel screws
- Compact footprint (Ø92.5 mm x 112 mm) and 1.52 kg weight for mast or superstructure mounting
- Minimum feed wire gauge listed as 1.5 mm² (AWG 18)
What's included
- Navigation light assembly
- 400-037 POM mounting base
- HDPE base plate
- Cable gland for 7-13 mm (9/32" to 1/2") cable diameter
Installation and setup
Plan the mounting location so the light has an unobstructed 360° view and the lens sits level. On larger vessels this is often on a mast platform or a dedicated bracket on the superstructure, clear of antennas, davits, rails, and other structures that can mask the arc.
The unit mounts horizontally to the 400-037 base, and the cable exits to the side. Route the cable so it is supported against vibration, with a drip loop before the deck penetration and enough slack to disconnect the plug connector during service.
Electrical and system integration
Supply is 20-32 VDC, which aligns with 24 VDC shipboard systems. With a listed draw of 2.9 W, circuit loading is modest, but de-icing is meant for cold-weather operation, so the circuit should be wired and protected to your vessel standards.
Use at least 1.5 mm² (AWG 18) feed conductors as a minimum and keep terminations sealed from moisture. If you are tying into a navigation light panel or monitoring system, confirm it supports the light's voltage range and the plug-connector interface.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt deposits during routine washdowns and inspect the lens and cable gland for loosening. In icing conditions, confirm the lens area stays clear and re-check fasteners on the base after the first few runs.
