The Garmin Adapter Plate f/GPSMAP 7x2 to 7x3 Series is an adapter bezel kit that lets you flush-mount a GPSMAP x3 chartplotter into an existing dash cutout from a GPSMAP x2 or x2 Plus.

The change between variants is the display size and the specific older cutout it adapts from. Each version is intended for a same-size upgrade path from GPSMAP x2 or x2 Plus to the corresponding GPSMAP x3 family.

• 010-12993-00: Size 7 in. Used to install GPSMAP 723, 723xsv, 743, and 743xsv in an existing GPSMAP 722 or 742 dash cutout.
• 010-12993-01: Size 9 in. Used to install GPSMAP 923, 923xsv, 943, and 943xsv in an existing GPSMAP 922 or 942 cutout, including Plus models.
• 010-12993-02: Size 12 in. Used to install GPSMAP 1223, 1223xsv, 1243, and 1243xsv in an existing GPSMAP 7412 or 7612 cutout, and it also matches GPSMAP 1222 or 1242 Touch or Plus openings.

Compatibility and fit

This is a dash adapter for flush-mount installations, not a bail mount or bracket. Match the adapter size to the chartplotter size you are installing and to the older unit that left the cutout behind, since the plate is meant to bridge between specific generations and bezel footprints.

If your boat has a custom electronics panel or the opening was modified during a prior refit, measure the existing cutout and confirm the original model before ordering. That quick check saves a lot of time once the old display is out and the dash is open.

Installation and setup

Plan the job like a normal MFD swap: remove the existing chartplotter, clean the dash surface, and dry-fit the adapter plate so it sits flat with no rocking.
