Overview
The Raymarine B60 is a bronze through-hull transducer for boats that need dependable depth and water temperature data from a traditional 50/200 kHz sonar system. It uses a 600 W dual-frequency element and a tilted element layout, so the sonar beam can point straight down without adding a fairing block to the hull.
This low-profile B60 sits nearly flush, extending about 5 mm outside the hull, which helps reduce drag and keeps water flow cleaner around the fitting. It records depth and temperature, with a 45° beam at 50 kHz for broader low-frequency coverage and a 12° beam at 200 kHz for narrower high-frequency readings.
The bronze housing is suited to fiberglass and wood hulls. It comes with a 33 ft / 10 m cable and a Raymarine 8-pin DSM-style connector for direct use with CP370 sonar modules and legacy CP300, DSM300, DSM30, and DSM250 modules.
Key features
- Bronze through-hull transducer for fiberglass and wood hull installations.
- 600 W dual-frequency operation at 50/200 kHz for traditional depth sounding and fishfinder use.
- Built-in depth and water temperature sensing for core navigation and fishing data.
- Tilted element technology helps compensate for hull deadrise without a fairing block.
- Low-profile housing extends about 5 mm outside the hull to reduce drag compared with larger fairing installations.
- 45° beamwidth at 50 kHz and 12° beamwidth at 200 kHz for wide low-frequency coverage and narrower high-frequency detail.
- Rated for depth performance up to 1,200 ft at low frequency and 700 ft at high frequency.
- 33 ft / 10 m cable with Raymarine 8-pin DSM-style connector for CP370 and compatible legacy sonar modules.
Variants
This B60 transducer is offered in two tilted element configurations. The variant changes the fixed element angle inside the housing, which changes the hull deadrise range the transducer is meant to compensate for during through-hull installation.
Both variants share the same B60 platform, including the bronze through-hull housing, 600 W 50/200 kHz operation, depth and temperature sensing, 33 ft / 10 m cable, and Raymarine 8-pin DSM-style connector.
- E66085: 20° tilted element. This version matches hull deadrise angles from 16° to 24°, making it the fit for steeper V-hull sections where the transducer still needs to send the beam straight down.
- E66086: 12° tilted element. This version matches hull deadrise angles from 8° to 15°, which suits flatter through-hull mounting areas often found on smaller powerboats, center consoles, and many trailered hulls.
Installation and fit
The B60 is a true through-hull installation, so the hull must be drilled and sealed correctly, with the tilt angle chosen to match the mounting location. The required hole size is 60 mm, or 2-3/8 in, and the usable shaft length is 68.5 mm.
Because the tilted element is built into the housing, there is no external fairing block to shape, align, or maintain. The main buying decision is the deadrise at the exact mounting location, not the boat’s advertised hull angle at the transom.
Compatibility and use on board
This transducer is a good match for Raymarine systems using the CP370 sonar module or compatible legacy DSM-style sonar modules. Adapter cables may be needed for other Raymarine systems, so the existing display and sonar module should be checked before installation.
On board, the B60 fits well on fishing and cruising boats where a skipper wants depth, bottom tracking, and water temperature without adding a larger fairing assembly under the hull. It is especially useful for inshore fishing, coastal cruising, slow trolling, drifting, and checking structure in shallow to medium depths.
