Overview

The Vimar Eikon is a 4-module mounting frame and protection-cover range for rectangular boxes. In this range, the frame mounts flush with screws, accepts 4 modules in a horizontal layout or 1 module vertically, and takes the module inserts from the front side.

For marine refits and new panel work, this is the hardware used behind a clean flush installation when an Eikon switch or outlet position has to line up neatly in a cabin wall, console, or service panel. The matching cover version is transparent and fits over the 4-module frame so the opening stays protected while wiring, finishing, or later service work is underway.

Variants

This product is offered in two configurations for the same 4-module Eikon position.

The main difference is function. One variant is the mounting frame that carries the modular devices, and the other is the accessory cover that protects that opening. Both relate to the same 4-module rectangular box format.

• VM21614.C: Accessory Protection Cover. This is the transparent cover that fits over the 4-module Eikon mounting frame and helps keep dust and debris out while the installation is open.
• VM21614: Accessory Mounting Frame. This is the screw-fixed frame used to mount the modules in the box, with front-side insert mounting and support for horizontal or vertical orientation.

Compatibility and fit

This range is meant for Vimar Eikon 4-module work with a rectangular flush box. Check the box style before ordering, because it is not intended for a 60 mm round junction box and it is not a DIN rail or wall-duct mounting part.

Installation and setup

The frame is the piece that gets fixed into the box first, then the modules are fitted from the front. The protection cover is a separate accessory for keeping the opening clean between rough-in and final device assembly, or when a panel position needs temporary protection during service.

Use on board

On boats, it suits interior electrical positions where a flush Eikon installation makes more sense than surface hardware. It is a good match for cabins, enclosed helms, and utility spaces where the switch layout is built around rectangular module boxes.
