Overview

The Vimar Eikon 21618 is an 8 (4+4)-module mounting frame range for rectangular box installations, built around a screw-fixed support and a matching protection cover. The frame version fits V71318 and V71718 flush boxes and the 20788 table mounting box, and it accepts front-mounted inserts in either horizontal or vertical orientation.

The support uses a thermoplastic body and is arranged for 4 modules horizontally or 2 modules vertically. The matching cover keeps the same 8 (4+4)-module format and adds a transparent protective layer over the mounted frame when the installation needs to stay shielded from dust and debris.

For a boat refit that already uses Vimar modules in protected interior spaces, this range keeps the installation layout consistent. This product is offered in two configurations that share the same 8 (4+4)-module layout.

What changes between variants is the function of the part. One version is the mounting frame that carries the inserts, while the other is the protection cover that sits over that frame when the installation needs temporary shielding.

• VM21618: Accessory Mounting Frame. This is the screw-fixed 8 (4+4)-module support used with V71318 and V71718 flush boxes and the 20788 table mounting box, with inserts mounted from the front in horizontal or vertical orientation.
• VM21618.C: Accessory Protection Cover. This is the transparent cover for the 8 (4+4)-module frame and is used when the installed support needs to stay cleaner during finishing work or service access.

Compatibility and fit

Check the box type before ordering. The mounting frame is sized for rectangular box installations and is not intended for a 60 mm round junction box. It is also not the right part for wall duct, subfloor duct, or DIN rail applications.

This matters most when a panel or cabin switch location is being rebuilt around a standard Vimar layout. Match the box reference first, then confirm the module count and orientation needed for the inserts that will sit in the frame.

Installation and use

The frame fastens with screws and carries the inserts from the front, which helps when the box is already fixed in place and the final device layout is still being completed. The cover is the companion piece for temporary protection while nearby work is underway and the mounted support needs to stay free of dust and site debris.
