Overview
The Attwood Marine P30006 is a one-piece bronze bushing for seat bases and posts in pedestal seating systems. With a 3/4 in inside diameter and a 1 in outside diameter, it is used where a 3/4 in post needs the correct fit in the base.
This is a small part, but it matters when a pedestal seat starts to feel loose at the base or the post no longer sits the way it should. On boats with removable or fixed pedestal seating, replacing a worn bushing can bring the fit back to the right size and help the seat hardware work the way it was meant to.
Key features
- One-piece bronze bushing for boat seat bases and posts
- 3/4 in I.D. accepts a 3/4 in O.D. post
- 1 in O.D. size for seat base openings that use this bushing dimension
- Works as a replacement insert in pedestal seat base, extension, and base plate assemblies
- Useful when the original bushing is worn, damaged, or missing and the post fit at the base needs to be restored
Compatibility and fit
Check both the post diameter and the bore in the base before ordering. This bushing is sized around a 3/4 in post and a 1 in outside diameter, so it is meant for seat hardware that matches those numbers.
It is commonly used with Attwood and Swivl-Eze style seat base and pedestal setups in this size range. If your boat uses a different pin size, a different insert diameter, or a different seat mounting system, this will not be the right replacement.
Installation and setup
Installation is straightforward once the old insert is removed. Clean the base opening, check for burrs or distortion, and press the new bushing in square so the post drops in cleanly without binding. If the post is bent or the base plate is worn, you may still notice movement even with a new bushing in place.
Use on board
This part makes sense for owners refreshing helm seats, cockpit seats, or casting-seat pedestals where the base fit has opened up over time. It is a practical replacement when the rest of the seat hardware is still serviceable and the problem is centered at the bushing.
