Overview
The Lumishore 010-04489-00 is a 1 m blue Neon Flex strip light for adding a continuous accent line in cockpits, cabins, hardtops, and other onboard spaces on a 12V DC system.
It runs on 12V DC only and is intended for 10 to 15V DC supplies, with IP68 protection for outdoor or indoor mounting in areas that get spray or washdowns. It can be installed in wet locations, but it is not meant to live permanently underwater.
For clean routing around corners, keep to a 120 mm minimum bend radius and bend on its side without twisting. If you need a shorter run, cut only at the marked cut points and reseal the end before mounting.
Key features
- Blue Neon Flex strip with 1 m ordered length for a continuous accent line
- 12V DC boats only, with a 10 to 15V DC operating range

- 120 mm minimum bend radius, with side bending only and no twisting
- Typical power use is about 5 W per meter for load planning
- Cut-to-length support at marked cut points, with resealing before installation
- Mounts with stainless steel clips, with clip spacing recommended about every 300 mm and closer around tight bends
What's included
- Neon Flex light strip (1 m) with lead cable
- Stainless steel mounting clips
- End caps for blanking and cable exit
- Sealing kit for cut ends, including silicone adhesive and sponge cord
Installation and setup
Plan the run first, then isolate the boat battery before you start wiring. Lay the strip out straight and handle it along its length so it does not kink or twist. Even though the material is UV resistant, avoid mounting it where it will sit in strong direct sunlight.
Fix the clips with suitable screws, then press the strip into the clips until it clicks. A clip every 300 mm helps keep the line straight, and adding extra clips around corners helps it stay seated without lifting.
If you cut the strip, seal the new end before mounting. Allow the sealant to cure undisturbed for 24 hours so the strip stays watertight after trimming.
Electrical and system integration
Wire it as a fused 12V DC accessory. The red lead connects to a switched 12V feed, and the black lead goes to ground. Keep the supply within 10 to 15V DC and do not connect it to AC power.
Placement on board
This style of strip works well for indirect lighting under gunwales, along toe kicks, under seating, or tucked behind trim where you want the glow without seeing individual points. Blue accent lighting is commonly used for night running and cockpit work when you want light that stays low and controlled.
Maintenance and care
Clean with a damp soft cloth or a soft bristled brush. Avoid abrasive pads, harsh cleaners, and pressure washing, since they can damage the outer jacket and seals over time.
