Overview
The Lumishore 010-04491-00 is a 5 m (196 in) blue Neon Flex strip light for onboard accent lighting where you want a clean, dot-free glow and a fully sealed build.
It runs on 12V DC only (10 to 15V) and carries an IP68 ingress rating, so it can be installed in areas that see spray and washdowns, including under gunwales, cockpit recesses, cabin liners, and under hard tops.
The strip uses 60 blue LEDs per meter behind a spot-free diffuser and can be cut to length in 25 mm steps once the end is sealed, which helps when you need the light to follow curves and trim lines without leaving dark gaps.
Key features
- 5 m single-color blue Neon Flex strip with 60 LEDs per meter for a continuous line of light.
- 12V DC only, 10 to 15V operating range; max draw 0.5A per meter (6W/m), up to 2.5A (30W) for the full 5 m run.
- IP68-rated light engine with fully encapsulated, potted construction; UV resistant and salt spray tested.
- Cut and seal to fit, with 25 mm cut increments; bottom or side cable entry options to suit your routing.
- Simple 2-wire hookup; on/off control from a standard switch, with optional ECLIPSE Command Center support for dimming and zone control.
- Low-profile illuminated cross section of 12.0 mm x 6.1 mm; end cap footprint 14.0 mm x 8.0 mm for planning channels and trim.
- 3-year warranty.
Compatibility and fit
This strip is intended for 12V DC lighting circuits, not 24V systems. Confirm you have room for the 12.0 mm x 6.1 mm body and a little extra space at the termination for the 14.0 mm x 8.0 mm end cap, especially when tucking the strip into a recess or behind a lip.
Because it is cut-to-length, lay out the run so the cut point lands on a 25 mm segment, then plan where the sealed end will sit so it stays protected and out of standing water.
Installation and setup
Dry fit the strip and confirm the cable exit direction first, then cut only on the marked cut points and seal the cut end before final mounting. Take your time on bends so the strip sits flat and the diffuser stays smooth along the curve.
Mounting is commonly done with stainless steel screw clips spaced along the run, and routing the cable back to a protected junction helps keep splices out of wet areas.
Electrical and control
Wire it as a simple 2-wire load to a fused 12V DC circuit. If you are running the full 5 m, size the circuit for up to 2.5A total and keep voltage drop in mind on longer cable runs.
For basic control, an on/off switch works as expected. When paired with an ECLIPSE Command Center, it also supports dimming and zone control from compatible controls.
On-board use cases
This blue strip works well for courtesy lighting where you want a low-profile line of light that can follow curves, like under gunwales on a center console, along cockpit toe-kicks, under a T-top, or as a soft wash along a cabin headliner.
It is a good match for boats that spend time in saltwater and get regular washdowns, where a fully sealed, IP68-rated strip is easier to live with than open LED tape.
Maintenance and care
Rinse off salt spray when practical and wipe with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh solvents on the diffuser and check the sealed end and cable entry points during routine cleaning.
