Overview

The Lumishore 010-04497-00 is a 5 m ECLIPSE Neon Flex SNL100 strip light that switches between blue and white (5000 K white) on a 12 V DC system (10-15 V DC).

It is IP68-rated and fully encapsulated and potted, so it can live in wet areas and stand up to washdowns. The illuminated cross section is 12.0 mm x 6.1 mm, which helps when you are tucking it under coamings, inside toe-kicks, along steps, or under hardtop overhangs where space is tight.

Plan your power and wiring off the per-meter draw: up to 0.5 A per meter (6 W per meter). A full 5 m run can draw up to 2.5 A (about 30 W) at 12 V when lit.

Installation and setup

Before mounting, lay the strip out straight and let it relax so it does not fight you during the install. For lengths over 1 m, a two-person install helps: one person holds and uncoils the strip while the other fixes the mounting clips.

Mount the strip using stainless steel screw clips, then seat the strip fully in each clip so it stays supported through vibration. If you need a custom length, cut only at the marked cut points in 30 mm increments and seal the cut end before final installation so the strip remains watertight.

Electrical and control

Power it from a fused 12 V DC circuit only; it is not rated for 24 V supply. For the dual-color version, follow the wiring method that allows blue and white selection and do not energize both color channels at the same time.

If you want more than basic switching, pairing it with an ECLIPSE Command Center adds dimming and zone-based control, and it can be operated from a smart device or an MFD interface supported by that control system.

On-board use

This type of dot-free linear light is commonly used for indirect accent lighting under gunwales, along cockpit seating bases, around steps, and under headliners where the source stays hidden and the glow does the work.

It is a good match for boats with a 12 V lighting circuit that need an IP68 strip for areas that get wet or see regular washdowns.
