Overview
The Lumishore 010-04493-00 is a 2.5 m ECLIPSE SNL100 neon flex strip light that puts out a continuous white line of light for clean accent and courtesy lighting on board. It runs on 12V DC only (10 to 15V DC) and produces white light at 5000 K.
The strip is fully encapsulated and potted with an IP68 rating, so it can live in wet areas and handle washdowns when installed with properly sealed ends. The illuminated section is 12.0 mm x 6.1 mm, with end caps at 14.0 mm x 8.0 mm, which helps when you are tucking it into a trim channel, recess, or under an overhang.
For custom runs, it can be cut and sealed in 25 mm steps. That makes it practical for tight layouts around coamings, toe-kicks, and cabinetry where you want the light to follow the boat instead of forcing straight segments.
Key features
- 2.5 m neon flex strip with white output at 5000 K
- 12V DC only supply range (10 to 15V DC)
- Max current draw per meter: 0.5A/m (6W/m) at 12V DC for circuit planning
- IP68 ingress protection with fully encapsulated, potted construction
- UV resistant and salt spray tested for typical marine exposure
- Spot-free diffuser so the light reads as a smooth line, not individual LED points
- Cut and seal in 25 mm steps for clean fit on curved and segmented surfaces
- Simple 2-wire on/off wiring; on/off, dimming, and zone control are available when used with an ECLIPSE Command Center
Installation and setup
Lay out the run first and confirm you have room for the strip and end cap size at the start and finish points. On boats, the cleanest results usually come from mounting under an edge or inside a recess so the source is hidden and the glow washes across the surface.
If you need to shorten the strip, cut only on the marked cut points and seal the cut end before it goes on the boat. Plan your cable exit based on your routing path, then secure the strip so it cannot slap or chafe in vibration areas. Take the time to support wiring near the entry point so movement does not work the conductors loose over time.
Electrical and system integration
This is a 12V DC light with a simple 2-wire connection for basic on/off switching. Size wiring and protection based on the total length installed, using the per-meter current draw as your guide, and keep splices and terminations in a dry, protected location whenever possible.
If you are building a multi-zone lighting setup, pairing it with an ECLIPSE Command Center adds dimming and zone control. That approach can make sense when you want cockpit, cabin, and accent runs to behave like a coordinated lighting system instead of separate switched circuits.
Use cases on board
This strip fits well under gunwales, along cockpit coamings, around hardtop or T-top edges, under steps, and behind toe-kicks where a continuous line of white light helps with night movement without glare. It is also a good match for refits where you want a modern look and you do not want to see LED dots through a lens.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt residue during routine washdowns and check that the ends remain sealed and intact, especially after any service work in the area. Avoid harsh solvents on the diffuser, and inspect mounting points so the strip stays supported and does not rub against hardware or sharp edges.
