Overview
The Lumishore 010-04492-00 is a 1 m ECLIPSE Neon Flex SNL100 strip light that puts out a continuous white line of light at 5000 K with a diffuser that hides individual LEDs. It is for 12 V DC systems only (10 to 15 V DC) and draws up to 0.5 A per meter (6 W per meter), which helps when you are sizing the circuit and voltage drop.
The light is sealed to an IP68 rating with an encapsulated, potted construction that holds up to washdowns, UV exposure, and vibration. It can be mounted inside or outside, including wet areas, but it is not intended for permanent submersion.
Key features
- 1 m length that can be trimmed in 25 mm increments and resealed for a clean finish
- White output at 5000 K with 60 LEDs per meter behind a spot-free diffuser
- 12 V DC only operating range (10 to 15 V DC)
- Up to 0.5 A per meter draw (6 W per meter) for straightforward circuit planning
- IP68 rating with fully encapsulated and potted construction, plus UV resistance and salt spray testing
- Low-profile illuminated cross section of 12.0 mm x 6.1 mm for tight mounting locations
- Side-bend installation with a 120 mm minimum bend radius; avoid twisting or bending in the other axis
- Stainless steel clip mounting with typical clip spacing around every 300 mm, with extra support around tighter curves
- On/off control from a basic switch, or dimming and zone control when used with an ECLIPSE Command Center
What’s included
- Neon Flex strip light (1 m)
- Stainless steel mounting clips
- Cable-exit end caps (bottom or straight style)
- Cut-and-seal kit for trimmed ends
Installation and setup
Lay the strip out straight before fitting it, then route it along the surface and snap it into the clips once the clip spacing is set. The strip bends on the side with a minimum radius of 120 mm; it should not be twisted or bent in the other axis.
If you need a shorter length, cut only at the marked cut points (25 mm steps) and seal the new end before the strip goes on the boat. Let the sealant cure undisturbed for 24 hours before exposing the end to water.
Electrical and control integration
For this single-color white strip, wiring is a simple two-wire connection to a fused 12 V DC lighting feed and ground. Keep connections in a protected location when possible and add strain relief so the cable is not carrying load at the end cap.
On/off control works from a standard switch. When the strip is run through an ECLIPSE Command Center, dimming and zone control can be handled through supported control interfaces.
Placement and use on board
Common installs include under gunwales, cockpit coamings, toe-kicks, hardtop overhangs, and cabin headliners where you want an even line of light without hotspots. It is a good match for boats running 12 V house power that want accent lighting that can follow gentle curves and fit into trim gaps.
Maintenance and care
Rinse after salt use and wipe with mild soap and water. Periodically check clip tightness and the sealed ends, especially in high-vibration areas.
