Overview

The Lumishore 010-04536-00 is a 5 m RGB neon flex LED strip light for adding a continuous line of accent lighting on a 12 V DC boat. It operates on 10 to 15 V DC and uses a fully encapsulated, potted construction with an IP68 rating for wet areas.

The strip uses 120 RGB LEDs per meter behind a spot-free diffuser, so the light reads as a smooth line along trims and edges. It can be cut in 25 mm steps and sealed to fit, which is handy for runs under gunwales, along cabin headliners, and around a T-top.

Installation and setup

Lay out your route first, then cut the strip to length in 25 mm increments and seal the end before it goes on the boat. This keeps the cut end protected before it sees moisture or washdowns.

Cable entry can be routed from the bottom or the side, which helps when the strip is tucked behind trim or set along an edge. Mounting is typically done with screw clips, and stainless steel clips are available when you want a secure hold on surfaces that see vibration.

Electrical and system integration

This strip is for 12 V DC systems only. Plan for up to 0.5 A per meter, or up to 2.5 A for a full 5 m run, when choosing wire size and overcurrent protection.

Run the 4-wire lead back to your RGB controller and keep connections in a dry, serviceable spot. The ECLIPSE Command Center supports zone control, so multiple runs can be grouped and adjusted without rewiring the lighting.

Where it fits on a boat

It works well anywhere you want a clean line of light rather than individual points, such as under gunwales, along cockpit coamings, inside lockers, around steps, or under a T-top. The IP68 sealing, UV resistance, and salt spray testing make it comfortable in areas that get regular sun and washdowns.

Maintenance and care

Rinse after heavy salt exposure and keep connections protected from standing water. If the strip is ever re-cut, reseal the end before putting it back into service.
