Overview
The Vimar VM20620 is a 14 (7+7)-module mounting frame with fixing screws for V71320, V71620 and V71720 flush mounting boxes, and the 09920 surface mounting box.
It is the support that holds the modular devices in position behind the cover plate, keeping everything lined up so a switch bank looks clean and stays easy to use on board. The frame can be mounted horizontally or vertically, and the modules fit from the front side which helps during wiring and later service work.
Key features
- 14 (7+7)-module format for building larger Eikon device layouts in one opening
- Fits V71320, V71620 and V71720 flush boxes, and the 09920 surface mounting box
- Supplied with fixing screws for securing the frame to the box
- Supports horizontal or vertical orientation to match panel layout and available bulkhead space
- Front-side module fitting, so devices can be installed and serviced without pulling the box out of the wall
What’s included
- 14 (7+7)-module mounting frame
- Fixing screws
Compatibility and fit
This is a mechanical mounting frame, so electrical ratings depend on the modules you install in it. Plan the build as a complete set: the correct mounting box (one of the references listed above), the modular devices, and the matching cover plate for the finished look.
If your boat has a different box format or you are working with DIN rail enclosures, wall duct systems, or floor boxes, this is not the right part for that installation.
Installation and setup
Secure the frame to the mounting box using the supplied screws, then fit the modules from the front and finish with the appropriate cover plate. On boats, leave enough conductor slack so vibration does not pull on terminals, and keep the wiring dressed so it does not press hard against the backs of the modules.
Use on board
This format is commonly used for grouped switching where you want one tidy bank, such as cabin entry lighting, galley services, a nav station switch area, or an equipment cabinet panel. It is also a practical choice on refits when you are standardizing multiple zones to the same 14-module layout.
Maintenance and care
After the first few trips, it is worth re-checking the fixing screws if the panel sees regular vibration and tightening as needed. Keep washdown water out of the box opening during cleaning, since the mounting frame itself does not create a seal.
