Overview

The Vimar Eikon 20017 is a 2-pole 32A 1-way switch button range for square British standard mounting boxes. It uses a 3-module format and is rated for 250 V, with a front size of 82.5 x 82.5 mm, a device depth of 32.5 mm, and a built-in depth of 22.5 mm.

This style of switch makes sense for protected interior AC circuits on board where you want a clean wall or panel finish and a switch that is easy to identify and service. It is flush-mounted, uses screwed terminals, and fits with a separate 3-module British standard cover plate. With an IP40 rating, it is better suited to cabins, galleys, utility areas, and other enclosed spaces than exposed deck locations.

Variants

This range changes in two ways: front color and printed symbol. It is offered in grey, silver, and white, and each color is available with either the standard symbol or the Water/Heater symbol.

Across the six versions, the switching format stays the same: 2-pole, 32A, 250 V, with the same 3-module layout for British standard mounting boxes. The main difference is the finished look on the panel and whether the rocker carries a clear Water/Heater marking for circuit identification.

Installation and fit

Before ordering, check that your vessel uses a square British standard mounting box and the matching 3-module plate format. This switch is flush-mounted and uses screwed terminals, which suits fixed installations where secure terminations matter in areas subject to onboard vibration. It is a better match for protected interior AC switching points than for open cockpit or washdown-exposed positions.

Use on board

This range works well in refit and new-build interiors where the switch finish needs to match other Vimar Eikon devices. The Water/Heater symbol versions are useful when a dedicated appliance or hot water circuit should be obvious at a glance, while the standard symbol versions keep the look more neutral for general service circuits.
