Overview
The Lumishore Curved Light Bar is an above-water LED light bar for adding strong white deck and work-area lighting to boats. It is available in 20 in, 30 in, 40 in, and 50 in lengths, with output ranging from 15,000 to 39,600 fixture lumens depending on size.
This light bar fits the kind of places where crews need usable light without crowding the deck, such as T-tops, helm roofs, fishing towers, and bow platforms. The 10.5 to 31 V DC supply range works with common 12 V and 24 V boat electrical systems, while the IP68 water ingress rating suits exposed marine mounting locations that see spray, rain, and washdowns.
Key features
- Above-water LED light bar with white 5000 K output for deck, helm, tower, and bow platform lighting.
- Available in 20 in, 30 in, 40 in, and 50 in lengths to suit different mounting spans and coverage needs.
- Fixture lumen range runs from 15,000 to 39,600 fixture lumens, with output increasing by bar length.
- 10.5 to 31 V DC operating range supports both 12 V and 24 V DC marine electrical systems.
- IP68 water ingress rating for exposed above-deck installations where spray and washdowns are expected.
- Powder coated aluminium body with a Makrolon lens for a low-profile light housing suited to marine use.
- Simple 2-wire electrical connection, with 3-wire connection used when integrated with compatible Lumishore command center control.
- Control options include a third-party on/off switch, ECLIPSE Command Center, or EOS-LUX Command Center.
- Stainless steel fixing brackets support secure mechanical installation on hardtops, roofs, towers, and similar mounting surfaces.
Variants
The Lumishore Curved Light Bar is offered in four length configurations. Each version uses the same product family style, white light output, 10.5 to 31 V DC supply range, IP68 rating, aluminium body, Makrolon lens, and stainless steel fixing bracket approach.
The main differences are bar length, light output, LED count, beam spread, current draw, and physical size. Larger versions cover a wider span and draw more current, so wiring, switching, and circuit protection should be planned around the selected length.
- 60-0474, 50 in length: 39,600 fixture lumens from 100 x 10 W white LEDs. This is the longest version in the range and suits larger hardtops, towers, and bow areas where broad forward or deck lighting is needed.
- 60-0473, 40 in length: 31,680 fixture lumens from 80 x 10 W white LEDs. This size gives a wide coverage footprint while keeping the bar shorter than the 50 in model for tighter roof or tower layouts.
- 60-0472, 30 in length: 23,760 fixture lumens from 60 x 10 W white LEDs. This mid-size version is a practical fit for many helm roofs and T-tops where space is limited but strong deck lighting is still required.
- 60-0471, 20 in length: 15,000 fixture lumens from 40 x 10 W white LEDs. This compact version works well where mounting width is limited or where a smaller light bar is preferred for a focused work area.
Installation and setup
The light bar uses a simple 2-wire connection for basic switching, which keeps the installation straightforward on many DC lighting circuits. When used with a compatible Lumishore command center, the wiring changes to a 3-wire setup, so the control method should be selected before the cable run and switch layout are finalized.
The 50 cm light cable gives installers a short service lead at the fixture. Plan cable extensions, fusing, switching, and voltage drop around the selected model, especially on the 40 in and 50 in versions where current draw is higher.
Use cases on board
This light bar is a strong match for center consoles, sportfishing boats, cruisers, and work-focused deck layouts where crews need clear white illumination after dark. It is especially useful for cockpit tasks, docking preparation, gear handling, rigging, and general deck visibility from an elevated mounting point.
