Overview
The B&G 000-11542-001 is a 5-inch color graphic instrument display for the H5000 sailing system, showing data received over a NMEA 2000 backbone in clear digital and graphical pages.
The screen resolution is 480 x 272, with LED backlighting and an optically bonded display face that helps visibility in bright conditions. It is powered from the NMEA 2000 network (12 V DC nominal), draws about 1.9 W typical and up to 2.3 W max, and carries a 4 LEN network load for NMEA 2000 power planning.
This display suits installations where you want sailing-focused pages at a glance, including SailSteer, Start Line, WindPlot, Laylines, and MOB, whether you mount it at the helm, at the nav station, or on a pedestal.

- Waterproof to an IPX7 standard for cockpit and deck locations where spray and washdowns are expected
- Flush-mount form factor with overall dimensions of about 172 x 114 x 40 mm for planning panel space
- Built-in sailing pages including SailSteer, Start Line, WindPlot, Laylines, and MOB
What’s included

- NMEA 2000 Micro-C T-connector
Installation and setup
This unit is intended for flush mounting on a flat panel. Plan clearance behind the mounting surface for the rear body and for the NMEA 2000 lead so the connector is not forced into a tight bend.
Keep the display at least 0.3 m (1 ft) from a magnetic compass. If the unit is mounted where it takes full sun, using the sun cover when the boat is stored helps reduce UV exposure to the screen surface.
Network and power notes
The display is powered from the NMEA 2000 backbone, so correct backbone power injection and termination matter for reliable operation. When calculating network loading, budget 4 LEN for this device and confirm your backbone power feed and cabling are sized for all connected instruments.
Because it runs from the network supply, it will switch off with the NMEA 2000 backbone, which is useful for managing battery draw at the dock.
Compatibility and use on board
This display is a good match for sailors building around the B&G H5000 system who want a color screen for tactical sailing pages and day-to-day instrument views. When autopilot and other data sources are present on the network, the display can be used to keep that information visible from the cockpit.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt deposits with fresh water and use a soft cloth on the display face. Avoid aggressive solvents on the screen, and check mounting screws as part of routine inspections if the panel area sees frequent vibration.
