Overview

The Vimar Eikon 20082 is a 2-pole key-operated switch module rated 16 AX at 250 V AC, with the key removable only in the OFF position.

It fits a 1-module Eikon-format frame and mounts flush in a panel using snap fastening, which works well for cabin switch panels, helm-side consoles, or equipment spaces where you want controlled access. With an IP40 rating, it belongs in dry, protected interiors rather than exposed deck areas or washdown zones.

The halogen-free thermoplastic body and screw terminals make wiring and service straightforward, and it is suitable for switching self-ballasted lamps up to 200 W. Overall size is 22.3 mm wide by 49.0 mm high, with 43.5 mm depth and 33.5 mm built-in depth for behind-panel planning.

This is a 1-module device intended for Vimar Eikon modular frames and plates. Plan a flush-mounted installation in a suitable back box with enough depth for the 33.5 mm built-in body plus wiring bend radius and terminal access.

Electrical and system integration

The unit is rated for 250 V AC circuits up to 16 AX, which aligns with many onboard AC branch circuit switching needs where a keyed OFF state is required. For low-voltage DC switching, confirm the circuit requirements match the switch ratings, since AC and DC switching duties can differ.

Installation and setup

Isolate power at the source, terminate conductors to the screw terminals, and snap the module into the frame before fitting the cover plate. Because the key is removable only when OFF, the circuit can be left secured without leaving a key in place.
