Overview
The Attwood Marine 2027-7 is a rectangular flush hatch pull for lids, doors, compartments, and hatches where you want easy access without a handle sitting proud of the surface. The face measures about 3-5/8 in. by 2-5/16 in., the body is molded from glass-filled propylene, and it mounts with four #6 fasteners.
The recessed grip is easy to catch with wet or gloved hands, which makes it useful on storage lockers, console access panels, deck hatches, and similar openings around the boat. The finish is black and lightly textured, so it blends in well on many dark trim layouts while still giving your fingers something to hold onto.
Key features
- Rectangular flush pull for hatch lids, doors, lockers, and access panels
- Low-profile shape helps keep the surface cleaner and reduces snag points in walk-through and working areas
- Glass-filled propylene body with a black finish that has texture for grip
- Recessed finger pull stays easy to use with wet hands or gloves
- Approximate face size of 3-5/8 in. x 2-5/16 in. helps when matching an existing footprint
- Mounts with four #6 fasteners
Installation and fit
This pull works best where you need a simple handhold and the hatch or door is secured by another latch or catch. On many boats that means cockpit locker lids, storage boxes, small access doors, and console panels. Before replacing an older pull or cutting a new opening, check the outside footprint, screw pattern, and clearance behind the panel so the recessed cup can sit properly.
Because it sits close to flush, it makes sense in places where shoes, lines, tackle, and gear pass over the surface. That can be especially useful on casting decks, around helm storage, and on compartment lids that get opened often during a day on the water.
Use on board
This is a practical match for boaters replacing a worn plastic hatch pull or cleaning up a hatch surface that catches on clothing and gear. The pull body is polymer rather than metal, so it is also a sensible choice where a straightforward handhold is needed without adding another exposed metal fitting to the panel.
