Overview
The Lumitec 101705 is a surface-mount, full-color RGBW underwater light for transom installs on 12V or 24V DC boats (10-30 VDC). In white mode it produces 6,000+ lumens with a 6500K output and CRI 70+, and the light body is about 8 in long by 2 in high for a clean, low-profile look on the outside of the hull.
The housing is plated bronze and the light is IP68 sealed for continuous submersion. Power draw is 5A at 12V (2.5A at 24V), so it fits typical marine lighting circuits without guesswork.
It can be run from a standard on/off switch using timed-toggle control for color selection, or integrated into a Poco system for app or display control, dimming, and scene control when a Poco module is used. Sold as a single light.

Installation and setup
This light is a transom-style mount. A typical placement is 6 to 12 in below the waterline, avoiding running surfaces. On boats with multiple lights, spacing them about 1 to 3 ft apart helps spread light across the wake and stern area.
Mount to a flat, clean surface and bed the fixture with marine sealant. Plan the wire path inside the hull before drilling, and leave room for the strain relief and wiring to sit without chafe. The supplied silicon bronze screws are meant to be tightened by hand rather than with a power driver.
Electrical and control integration
Use a dedicated fuse per light sized at 7.5A for 12V systems or 5A for 24V systems, and run wiring that keeps voltage drop under control for the length of the run. If the light is installed far from the battery or distribution panel, stepping up wire size is often the difference between full output and a light that blinks from low voltage.
Wiring can be kept simple with a switch-based setup, or expanded for multi-light and digital control. With a Poco module in the system, color selection and dimming can be handled from a compatible display or a connected smart device.
Use cases on board
This is a good match for boats that want full-color transom lighting with a clean surface mount and straightforward wiring. It also fits installs where you want basic switch control today and the option to add Poco-based control later without changing the fixture.
