Overview

The Attwood Marine 4140-4 is a WaterBuster portable pump that removes standing water from small boats and other spaces where a wired pump is not practical. It is submersible, runs on three alkaline D batteries for up to 5 hours, and pumps up to 200 gallons per hour with a maximum lift of 40 inches.

The compact body measures 6-3/8 inches high by 5-1/4 inches in diameter, so it is easy to stow in a locker or gear bag. A 42 inch hose and garden-hose adapter are included, which makes it easier to route discharge overboard or farther away from the area you are draining.

This pump makes the most sense on boats that do not have a hard-wired electrical system, such as dinghies, inflatables, paddle boats, duck boats, and kayaks. It is intended for portable pump-out jobs rather than permanent bilge pump installation.
