Overview
The Garmin 010-13984-00 is a 2-pin threaded power cable used to supply power to compatible ECHOMAP Ultra 2 chartplotter/sounder combos. It is 6 ft long, which is a practical length for many helm installs where the display is mounted near a switch panel or distribution point.
The threaded collar keeps the plug seated at the back of the unit, which matters on boats that see vibration, trailering, and routine service behind the dash. It also works well as a replacement cable when an original lead has been cut, corroded at the ends, or damaged during a refit.
Key features
- 2-pin threaded connector matches the power port on compatible ECHOMAP Ultra 2 chartplotter/sounder combos
- 6 ft overall cable length for common console and helm routing
- Screw-on plug helps keep the connection from loosening when the boat is moving or the harness is bumped
- Power lead for connecting the chartplotter to a boat’s DC supply through a switch, breaker, or electronics bus
Compatibility and fit
This cable is intended for ECHOMAP Ultra 2 units that use the threaded 2-pin power connection. Garmin uses different pin counts and connector styles across families, so it is worth checking the connector on your existing harness before ordering.
Installation and setup
Plan a route that avoids sharp edges and spots where the cable can be pinched by access hatches. Leave a small service loop behind the display so the connector is not taking strain, and add strain relief where the harness enters the console.
Make final power connections with marine-grade terminals and adhesive-lined heat shrink. Protect the circuit with the fuse or breaker specified for your chartplotter and place that protection close to the power source.
On-board use
This cable fits well for owners replacing a damaged power lead or installers cleaning up wiring at the helm on a fishing boat, cruiser, or trailer boat. The threaded connector is also handy on open consoles where harnesses tend to get moved around during washdowns and routine checks.
