Overview
The Garmin 010-13307-15 is a quick-disconnect power cable for the Force Current kayak trolling motor, built to run from a 12 V or 24 V DC battery system with the positive lead protected by a 40 A (continuous) fuse or circuit breaker.
It gives you a clean, repeatable way to connect power at the motor, which matters on a kayak where the motor may come off for transport, storage, or security. The connector locks into place at the motor and includes strain relief so the cable is supported at the housing instead of hanging from the plug.
Key features
- Fits the Force Current trolling motor power connection for a direct plug-in power hookup
- Quick-disconnect connector with a locking ring that secures the plug with a quarter-turn
- Supports Force Current power requirements on 12 V and 24 V DC battery systems
- Requires a 40 A (continuous) fuse or circuit breaker on the positive (+) lead for proper circuit protection
- Strain relief seats against the cradle on the motor housing to reduce pull on the connector in chop and vibration
Compatibility and fit
This cable is for Garmin Force Current trolling motor installations where you want the correct locking connector at the motor end. It is not a generic two-wire lead, so it should be matched to the Force Current power port and connector style.
Installation and setup
Connect the power leads to your battery with the red (+) wire routed through a 40 A (continuous) fuse or breaker. At the motor, open the weather cap on the power connector, insert the plug with the locking collar in the unlocked position, then lock it with a quarter-turn of the ring. Keep the breaker switched off while making the final connection so the circuit is not live at the plug.
Use on board
This is a good match for kayak anglers who remove the motor between trips or run wiring through a hatch and want a connector that locks at the motor instead of relying on friction-fit plugs. It also helps when you want a consistent disconnect point for dockside rigging and trailering.
