Overview

This Vimar flush mounting box ø 60mm is a round flush-mounted box for masonry-wall installations, with a 60 mm diameter, 50 mm inner depth, five inlets, and rear entry for 20/25 mm conduit. It is made from halogen-free plastic and uses break-out openings for pipe entry.

It works as the rough-in box behind flush-mounted electrical devices where space, conduit routing, and box depth need to be checked before closing the wall. The housing is couplable for side-by-side layouts, carries an IP00 rating, and accepts anti-mortar and decorative covers when those accessories are part of the installation.

Variants

This product is offered in two configurations that share the same round 60 mm format and flush-mounted construction.

The difference between the variants is the box color and glow-wire rating. Diameter, inner depth, five-inlet layout, rear entry, 20/25 mm conduit compatibility, couplable body, halogen-free plastic construction, and IP00 protection remain the same across both versions.

• VMV71001: light blue version with a 650 °C glow-wire rating. It keeps the same box size and conduit entry format as the other version.
• VMV71001.AU: black version with a 960 °C glow-wire rating. It uses the same flush-mounted form factor and accessory compatibility.

Installation and fit

This box is made for flush mounting in masonry walls, so the wall build and available depth should be checked before ordering. It is not a hollow-wall box and it is not a surface-mount enclosure.

For boat projects, that usually limits it to protected interior work where the structure accepts this style of flush box and the final device or trim covers the open front. Because the housing is IP00, it should stay out of exposed spray areas and any location that depends on the box itself for water protection.

Accessories and finishing

Anti-mortar covers and decorative covers are available for this box. That is useful when rough-in happens before final trim-out or when the finished installation needs a matching cover once wiring is complete.

Use on board

This box suits interior electrical refit work where a 60 mm flush box is already part of the plan and where conduit entry from the rear or side knockouts matters. It is a practical match for installers who need to keep the same opening size across the range while selecting between two glow-wire ratings.
