Overview

The Vimar 5-module flush mounting box is a rectangular in-wall box for masonry installations where you need space for a 5-module device layout. It measures 59 x 144 mm, has a 50 mm inner depth, and uses break-out entries sized for 20/25 mm conduit, with 16 inlets available for routing cables and conduits into the box.

The body is made from halogen-free plastic and is couplable, so multiple boxes can be joined into longer runs when the installation calls for more than one device position. Its IP00 rating means the box itself is intended for enclosed, protected installation spaces rather than areas exposed to spray, washdowns, or open weather.

On board, this type of box makes sense in cabin interiors, covered helm structures, galleys, or service spaces where a Vimar 5-module device arrangement needs a flush foundation behind the finish surface. System compatibility depends on the devices installed in the box rather than the box itself.

Variants

This product is offered in two configurations.

Across the listed versions, the 5-module format, dimensions, inner depth, inlet layout, and conduit compatibility stay the same. What changes between the variants is the body color and the glow-wire rating.

• VMV71305: Light blue, Glow Wire 650 °C. This version follows the standard light blue box format for a 5-module masonry installation.
• VMV71305.AU: Black, Glow Wire 960 °C. This version keeps the same box footprint and installation layout while changing the finish and glow-wire rating.

Installation and fit

This box is set up for flush mounting in masonry walls and for screw-mounted switching equipment. The internal space and conduit entry options help when the wiring run needs to be dressed neatly behind a 5-module device, especially in tighter retrofit work where cable routing matters.

It suits projects that already use Vimar modular devices and need a matching 5-module back box in a protected area of the vessel or shore-side installation. For exposed locations, the limiting factor is not module capacity but the IP00 box construction, so the mounting position should stay inside a closed and dry part of the build.
