Overview

This Vimar 4-module flush mounting box is a rectangular box for flush installation in masonry walls, with a 121 x 59 mm footprint, 50 mm inner depth, and 14 rear-entry inlets sized for 20/25 mm conduit. It is built in halogen-free plastic and uses a screw-fixed device mounting arrangement.

For the installer, the main points are straightforward: there is enough room for internal wiring, the body is couplable when a multiple-box run is needed, and the break-out openings are shaped for conduit entry from the rear. The box is open rated at IP00, so it belongs behind the finished mechanism and cover plate in a protected interior location rather than anywhere exposed to spray or washdowns.

Variants

This product is offered in two configurations that keep the same 4-module masonry-wall box format.

The differences between variants are the glow-wire rating and body color. The mounting method, box size, inner depth, inlet count, and conduit sizing remain aligned across the range.

• VMV71304: Glow-wire 650°C, light blue finish. This version keeps the lower glow-wire rating in the range and uses a light blue housing.
• VMV71304.AU: Glow-wire 960°C, black finish. This version changes the housing to black and raises the glow-wire rating to 960°C.

Compatibility and fit

This box is for flush mounting into masonry walls. It is not a hollow-wall box with clamping fins, so it should not be treated as a substitute for installations in thin liners, joinery panels, or other hollow partitions.

It suits projects where four modular devices need to sit flush in a solid wall and where conduit runs enter from the rear. On board or around the dock, that means protected interior service locations only, with the final device and faceplate completing the installation.

Installation and setup

The 20/25 mm conduit compatibility and the 14 rear-entry openings give the installer flexibility when routing cables into the box. The extra internal space helps when dressing conductors inside a 4-module opening, especially where multiple device connections need to stay organized during final terminations.

Because the support screw fixing points use zinc-plated treatment, the threads are less likely to clog during building work. The dividing-screen rack also helps where separation inside the box is part of the layout.
