Overview
The Vimar VM21626 is a 1-module EIKON panel-mounting frame for installing a single Vimar modular insert in a boat panel with a flush finish. It fastens with screws, accepts the module from the front side, and can be oriented horizontally or vertically. The frame is made from thermoplastic with an untreated surface, and it is not suitable for 60 mm round junction boxes.
Use it when you are building a clean switch, outlet, USB charger, or data point into a helm console, cabin panel, or a custom electrical plate that uses the EIKON modular format. This is the carrier frame only, so the cover plate and the actual module insert are selected separately.
Key features
- 1-module carrier frame for Vimar EIKON panel installations
- Flush-mounted style with screw mounting for a stable install on vibrating panels
- Front-side module insertion so service work happens from the face of the panel
- Can be installed in horizontal or vertical orientation
- Thermoplastic construction with an untreated surface
- Not suitable for 60 mm round junction boxes, subfloor duct boxes, wall duct systems, or 35 mm DIN rail mounting
- CE marking (EU)
What’s included
- 1-module panel-mounting frame
- Fixing screws
Compatibility and fit
This frame is meant for the Vimar EIKON modular ecosystem and holds one 1-module insert behind a matching 1-module cover plate. It does not include a built-in installation box, so plan for a flat mounting surface and enough clearance behind the panel for the module body and wiring bend radius.
If your boat is set up around round wall boxes or a rail-mounted electrical enclosure, this is the wrong style of carrier. It is intended for direct panel work where the faceplate finishes the opening and the backside is accessible for wiring and inspection.
Installation and setup
Position the frame in the panel opening, secure it with the supplied screws, then fit the module insert from the front and finish with the cover plate. On boats, take the time to support wiring with strain relief so the module terminals are not carrying vibration loads, especially behind a helm where harnesses move with steering and engine motion.
This frame is purely mechanical, so electrical ratings and environmental performance come from the selected module insert, cover plate, and how well the panel is sealed. It is a good match for owners and builders who want EIKON-style modular controls in a tight space without committing to a multi-module plate.
